Alfa Film Services BV is an organization that facilitates the advantages of
digital film. We
offer support to the cinemas with digital cinema equipment. For
distributors we facilitates the process of encoding and transport a
film. The
network makes it possible for independent producers and distributors to
digitally transport content safely and in accordance with the standards to
theaters. For
the theater AFS is the service party which is responsible for the digital
delivery of a movie with the right qualities to show in the theater.
Current Network
The current network, which consists of 25 Dutch movie theaters under the
name CinemaNet Netherlands, is currently equipped with digital projectors
and 1.4k servers. Since
its inception in 2006, a number of more than 135 titles circulated in the
network. In
particular, documentaries, animation and feature films as well as a number
of operas. Some
of the distributed content includes titles such as Darwin's Nightmare,
Buddha's Lost Children, Forever, Jimmy Rosenberg, Die Entführung aus dem
Serail, Stranded, Links, Carmen Meets Borat, Ghost Time with Laban and
O'Horten. CinemaNet
